RESTORATION & REORDERING OF ST PETER & ST PAUL'S CHURCH
BLANDFORD FORUM

THE HERITAGE TRAIL

The History of Blandford Parish Church

After the fire of 1731, the Georgian Parish Church of St Peter and St Paul, Blandford Forum, grew out of the ashes to become one of the finest examples of its kind in the country. Benjamin Cox, the (late) Honorary Curator of the Blandford Museum wrote a history of the church and, in the pages that follow, it has been reproduced (with his full permission, given in his life-time), along with a selection of photographs portraying the church at various times.
