RESTORATION & REORDERING OF ST PETER & ST PAUL'S CHURCH
BLANDFORD FORUM

INTRODUCTION & WELCOME

A church has stood on this spot for centuries as a testimony to the Glory and Love of God, and as an icon for the town of Blandford Forum. It has provided a place where individuals and families have worshipped together, welcomed new generations and seen life unfold together at the heart of the Town and the Community.

The previous Church on the site was lost to the Great Fire of July 1731 and was replaced by the magnificence of the current building, courtesy of the talents and work of local architects, the Bastard brothers.

The intervening 280 plus years have seen change after change to the building, for both aesthetic and practical reasons, maintaining and reinforcing its primary purpose as a place of worship for the community of the day.

Responsibility for the next chapter in the life of this building now falls to the Church of today and it is our desire to continue with this desire to see the Church evolve and grow. Thank you for being interested in supporting the project. It is our belief that the vision will be fulfilled through the combined efforts and talents of many people.
